their shields crafted through countless publications.
They must belong to scholarly temples, be free of mortal conflicts,
and carry ancient review experience in their scrolls.

• Guard the manuscript as Cerberus guards the gates.

• Deliver judgments with Athena’s wisdom.

• Offer thorough counsel, both strength and flaw.

• Respect time, for Chronos waits for no one.

• Reveal conflicts or face Zeus’s thunderbolt.

• Judge the work, not the mortal behind it.

• Let words be graceful, like Apollo’s lyre.

• Report the sins: plagiarism, falsehoods, duplications.

• Never release the manuscript from your grasp.

• Speak not to the author — let Hermes handle messages.

• Delay not; the gods grow impatient.

• Steal not the ideas, lest you anger the muses.

• Favor no nation nor tribe.

• Pass not your duty to another demigod.
