Finite Element Analysis and Structural Optimization of Planet Carrier of Wheel Reducer

Using SolidWorks and ANSYS software to carry out 3D modeling and finite element analysis of the planet carrier in the wheel side reducer respectively, study the stress and deformation distribution of the planet carrier under rated conditions. Then, aiming at lightweight, the structure of the planet carrier is optimized under the condition of ensuring the strength and rigidity of the planet carrier. The optimized structure of the planet carrier is hollowed out for the connecting plate, and the mass of the optimized planet carrier is reduced by 12.87%. The modal analysis of the optimized planet carrier, the natural frequency of which completely avoids the meshing frequency, ensures no resonance phenomenon. The research results provide a reference for the optimal design and practical application of the planet carrier in the wheel reducer
